Huawei, the third largest smartphone vendor in the world, has its upcoming device in the works – the Huawei Mate 8 that looks set to impress, especially with the latest leak concerning the smartphone. Check out the kind of leaked hardware specifications of the upcoming Huawei Mate 8 right after the jump.
Huawei staff says that the Mate 8 is now being mass produced at Foxconn and the phone will be released in late November or by early December. If previous rumors are anything to go by, then the Huawei Mate 8 will be powered by Huawei‘s own high-end Kirin 950 chipset which includes an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.4GHz. It is highly possible that the Kirin 950 might be actually better than the Exynos 7420 chip used in Samsung's high-end devices like the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Accompanying the Kirin 950 can be a top-of-the-line ARM Mali-T880 GPU, apart from a motion co-processor, a Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 DSP chip, and a Cat. 10 LTE radio. It is said that Huawei P9 will use Kirin 950 chipset.
Huawei Mate 8 specifications, the device will reportedly flaunt a massive 6.0-inch display and 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution, screen is smaller than Huawei P8 Max phone. This handset is believed to come equipped with 32 GB or 64 GB of native storage capacity. A 21-megapixel rear-facing camera unit will be complemented by a generous 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies.
Furthermore, the Huawei Mate 8 price has been listed as 3,299 yuan, which is about $518 for the 3 GB RAM variant, while the 4GB RAM version might retail for CNY 3,899, equivalent to $610. Though there's no news about this phone being available in other regions than China, we expect it to be available on sale through e-tailers like Amazon or GizOK.
