According to the company, the new flagship devices feature the world's most advanced smartphone and tablet technology ever: "a new benchmark of amazing performance, efficiency and long battery life."

Huawei Smartphone division head Gang He has confirmed that the Huawei Mate 8 will go on sale in China starting this Wednesday, Dec. 9. The executive added that one million units will be manufactured each month since the OEM has high-level of confidence in the device.

Dubbed as the "Galaxy Note 5 Killer," the Kirin 950-powered Mate 8 posted an impressive score of 94,250 on AnTuTu. To put that in perspective, the Huawei P8 and the Huawei Mate S respectively garnered scores of 65,053 and 74,465.

According to rumors, the Huawei Mate8 will arrive in three versions. A new photo of a handset alleged to be the Mate 8 recently surfaced, which featured a design that is quite similar to the Huawei Mate S.

The new picture (below) reveals a round spot which is fingerprint scanner, although there is no confirmation that the phone is truly the Mate 8.

The Huawei Mate 8 is rumored to come in three versions – one with a 6.2" screen, one with 6" and a third, smaller one with 5.5" or 5.7" screen. We've already seen live images of one of those versions, now there's another one.
