Huawei P9 and PC tablet will be released at MWC 2016

Huawei is expected to launch its high-end smartphone, Huawei P9, during the Mobile World Congress 2016. This handset is predicted to make its first appearance along with a 2-in-1 tablet PC particularly made for people in the business industry.

Huawei Mate 8 Gets Security Update

The Huawei Mate 8 was released not too long ago, and for a lot of people represented the Chinese manufacturer's own version of the Nexus 6P. It's a little larger with its 6.0-inch display, and the camera is a little different, but the fingerprint sensor and overall build make it clear the two devices share common DNA. One thing that Huawei has often been criticized for is their lack of attention where software updates are concerned, but the Mate 8's update to the February security update could be another sign that Huawei is trying to turn things around where their software is concerned.

Huawei P9's dual cameras leaked ahead

The Huawei P9 is not expected to make an official appearance until after the hullabaloo of MWC, although the company does have a press event scheduled, but that hasn't stopped a new selection of leaks appearing online. The purported press images of the P9 show off a rear dual camera configuration, a fingerprint scanner located in the usual place, and quite possibly a metal body too.

Huawei is all set to make an appearance over at Mobile World Congress later this week, and in gearing up for it, they have also teased an upcoming device that will sport a stylus. However, the clues given are not too much to work with, and hence, we have a rather vague idea on what there is in store. Perhaps this leak of an alleged Huawei P9 render might be able to shed more light or information? However, a number of new leaked pictures, which allegedly depict the P9's design, show us that this may not be the case.

A new report suggested Huawei would go variant crazy with the Huawei P9 release. That rumor has gotten new legs as four versions of the smartphone have just passed through certification.

China Smartphone boosts Global Market Share

Huawei Technologies, a major Chinese telecom equipment maker, boosted global shipments of smartphones 44% in 2015, moving up to third place in global shipments rankings after Samsung Electronics and Apple, according to data released by IDC, a U.S. research company.

Huawei, which registered strong sales outside China, dislodged Lenovo Group from the No. 3 slot. Lenovo, which fell to fourth place, saw its market share decline 2 percentage points as sales at Motorola Mobility, the U.S. company it purchased, were poor.
