Huawei confirms Kirin 960 chipset for the Mate 9, P10

Surprising absolutely no one, Huawei has today confirmed that the Huawei Mate 9 phablet will be powered by its Kirin 960 chipset. The SoC was officially unveiled at an event last week. The Mate 9 will be announced in Munich on November 3, which is next Thursday.

We definitely expect to see the 960 in the Mate 9, but Huawei’s track record has shown it’s likely to use the processor (or tweaked variant thereof) in next year’s Huawei P10 flagship as well.
