A new Huawei smartphone has been certified by Chinese certification and regulatory authority TENAA. Listed as Honor KIW-AL20, the smartphone is speculated to be premium version of Huawei Honor 7, Huawei Honor 7 Plus.

Huawei Honor 7 upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Huawei India company has begun rolling out its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Honor 7 smartphone. The company announced this in a post on Facebook.

The smartphone maker put out a post on its official Facebook page and also has a strange note at the bottom asking users to register with their details for their respective OTA updates. Registering for the update requires one to provide their handset's IMEI number and current software version. Huawei Mate 8 will go on sale in December 9

Huawei Smartphone division head Gang He has confirmed that the Huawei Mate 8 will go on sale in China starting this Wednesday, Dec. 9. The executive added that one million units will be manufactured each month since the OEM has high-level of confidence in the device.

Dubbed as the "Galaxy Note 5 Killer," the Kirin 950-powered Mate 8 posted an impressive score of 94,250 on AnTuTu. To put that in perspective, the Huawei P8 and the Huawei Mate S respectively garnered scores of 65,053 and 74,465.

Huawei saw year-on-year smartphone shipments spike 63 per cent in its third quarter. Third-quarter deliveries climbed 81 percent and 98 percent in China and Europe respectively from a year ago.
