The Huawei Mate 8 smartphone - which recently cleared China's 3C and is expected to be unveiled on November 26 - will be available in several variants differing in screen sizes and other hardware specs.

Looking at the rear side of the device, though, you'll see the camera sensor, dual-LED flash and a fingerprint scanner which have surfaced already, quite recently actually. We still haven't seen a Mate 8 leak in full, but it seems like we know what will the upper rear portion of the device look like thanks to this image.

Now, the Mate 8 will be a rather big device, the Mate 8 will sport a 6-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The all-new Kirin 950 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz will fuel this phablet along with a Mali-T880 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel camera will be located on the back of the Mate 8, and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this phone, and Huawei's Emotion UI (EMUI) skin will be installed on top of it. The Huawei Mate 8 will be made out of metal, and you can also expect it to sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, just like its predecessor, the Huawei Mate S.

That is pretty much it, we still don't know what will the device look like, but that might be revealed soon through a leak, as it pretty much always is. We'll let you know if that happens before Huawei announces Mate 8, Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Max, so stay tuned.
