The Huawei P9 has been shown off in a few leaked images here and there over the past couple weeks, and today we're getting a look at some more photos. 2016 flagship's dual rear-facing camera setup, as well as a clear look at the front of the device.
The post includes four crisp photos of the device, revealing a slim metal design in line with the company's recent releases. Huawei included a large fingerprint scanner on the back, a pair of rear cameras and USB-C. There's also a surprisingly thick bottom bezel.
the P9 is expected to launch in the first half of 2016 with a 5.2-inch Full HD display. It's also slated to come with a Kirin 950 processor, Mali-T880 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. There's also mention of potential 64 and 128GB variants of the device, though the source claimed that there's no viable information to substantiate that claim. Given the slender size of the device, one would assume the battery size would be nothing to write home about. However, the leak mentions the P9 will come with a big 3900mAh cell, which is quite large compared to other flagships of this size.
Huawei may offer as many as four P9 variants to choose from, including a standard P9, a premium version with beefed up hardware, a cheaper Huawei P9 Lite and a super-sized Huawei P9 Max or P9 Plus.
These leaks of the device confirm leaked renders from a few months back. Earlier rumors of the Huawei P9 have suggested its launch date to be this month while others say it might be in Q2 of this year.
